Eyal Haiman
Cello
Eyal Haiman was born in 1996. He began studying the cello at the age of 9 at the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Cornelius Fauor's class and later in Michal Korman's class. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Performance at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance under Zvi Plesser. He pursued his Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Martin Ostertag and in chamber music at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts under Angelika Merkle.
He was awarded a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation for the years 2013-2015. He won the "Young Artist Voice of Music Competition" in 2012 and the Dina Turgeman Chamber Music Competition at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. In 2018, he won first place in the Karl Adler Competition in Baden-Württemberg. During his studies in Germany, he received support from "Yehudi Menuhin Live-Music-Now" and the "Deutschlandstipendium."
After a season with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, he has served, starting this season, as Associate Principal Cellist with the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra.
