In its 18th edition the Israeli Schubertiade is back with its annual “Winter Journey” of 8 concerts around the country.
The spotlight is aimed this time to Schubert’s choral repertoire. In its first performance at the Israeli Schubertiade Cecilia Ensemble, joined by the Austrian tenor Daniel Johannsen, Irit Rub at the piano, and Tamara Navot (mezzo-soprano) will present a brilliant selection of pieces for 4 male voices. Two legendary works of Franz Schubert’s , both bare the key B flat major, will also be part of the 2024 Schubertiade. Daniel Gortler will perform the last piano sonata D.960; The piano trio op.99 shall be played by Hagai Shaham (violin), Hillel Zori (cello), Arnon Erez (piano).
In addition, the 2024 Israeli Schubertiade will host the laureates’ concert of the Lied Competition held by the vocal department of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. This concert will take place at Annette Studio in Tel Aviv on February 9th at 12:00.
